Anne Grey

Born 1907. Dark hair and eyes. Educated at Laussanne and King's College, London. Made successful appearances in "The Faithful Heart," "The Calendar," "The Old Man," "Murder at Covent Garden" and "Leap Year." Recreation: motoring.

Anne Grey (1907 - 1987). She was very busy in the 30s though few of her films were distinctive apart from Hitchcock's interesting flop Number Seventeen. She went to Hollywood towards the end of the decade with husband Lester Matthews, but appeared in few films and seems to have retired at the end of the decade. She died in Lea-on-Solent. Her most revived film is the Laurel and Hardy feature Bonnie Scotland. (see picture of her in Fire Raisers and a publicity still)
