Born at Hove; age 33. Educated at Brighton. Made her stage debut in 1917 in "Charley's Aunt." Married Herbert Marshall. Talking pictures, "The Calendar," "Michael and Mary," "The Faithful Heart." Recreations are dancing and designing. 

 

Edna Best (1900 - 1974). Popular actress who frequently appeared with husband Herbert Marshall. He moved to Hollywood in the early thirties and she followed but they divorced in 1940. She continued to act occasionally in character roles, but her main work was as a radio producer most notably for the Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes series. Her best British roles were in South Riding and The Man Who Knew Too Much
