Maisie Gay

Born London; age 49. Began stage career in chorus in 1903. Now recognised as London's greatest comedienne. Toured Australia in "This Year of Grace." Talkie successes, "To Oblige a Lady" and "The Old Man." Recreation: golf. 

 

Maisie Gay (1883 - 1945). The only other film she made was the short The Shaming of the True in 1930. She was a big star of review in shows such as Charlot's Review and London Calling. In the latter she first sang the Noel Coward song There's Life in the Old Girl Yet. She retired to run the Northey Arms Inn in Ashley Box.
